Cadmium Pigments are highly light fast, opaque and economical.

All cadmium pigments contain cadmium and are toxic, especially when burning.

The use uf cadmium pigments is restricted by German and European laws (Germany: Gefahrstoffverordnung / Chemikalien-Verbotsverordnung, Anhang zu § 1, Abschnitt 18: Cadmium)
